5 Fun Outdoor Activities to Try This Summer

If you are getting bored with your exercise routine, why not try something new to get all excited about exercise again? I know I get bored doing the same things again and again so I always look for different ways of being active while having some fun at the same time. If you want to break out of your fitness routine and try something new, here are some fun outdoor activities for you to try this summer:

Rebounding

A rebounder seems like a good option if you find exercising boring and want to try something fun instead. Rebounding is a good all-rounder and has many health benefits. It’s a great exercise that doesn’t only burn calories but also helps to detoxify your cells and boosts immunity. The biggest plus is that it doesn’t put extra stress on your joints so it’s perfect for those who have joint issues. Put a rebounder in your outdoor space and have some fun when it’s not raining. Alternatively, get a smaller rebounder for indoor use which you can fold for easier storage.

SUP Yoga

Imagine being on a paddleboard in the middle of a calm lake, trying to do yoga? This is basically what SUP yoga is. SUP means “Stand Up Paddleboard” and this type of yoga is something you do in calm waters only. It’s a challenging activity that will engage many of your muscles that you don’t normally use. And it’s something fun to do with your friends when you are bored of the gym and want to try something new. There are beginners’ classes available and they supply all the equipment so you don’t have to worry about anything.

Table Tennis

Isn’t table tennis fun? I know I loved it as a child and I still love to play it now as an adult when I have an opportunity. Luckily, in the UK you can find outdoor table tennis tables in all sorts of locations and playing table tennis using one of these tables is free. Just do a search on the Ping England website to find a table tennis table near you. You will need to bring your own table tennis bats with you but these are not expensive and can be easily bought from websites such as Eveque.

Treetop Trek

If you are not afraid of heights, treetop trek is a great activity to try, especially if you have kids. The whole family can go and have a bit of fun and be active at the same time. You will be climbing up, balancing yourself on balance bars and swing, just to give you a bit of a preview of this fun activity. If you are worried about safety, don’t be, you will be wearing a harness and clear instructions will be given to you before you start this activity.

Rowing

If you find rowing in the gym boring, why not try rowing for real? Find a lake or a park near you where you can hire a boat and have some fun! Take your partner or a friend and take turns in rowing so that you can both get some exercise while having fun at the same time.

So there you have it, these are some of the fun outdoor activities to try this summer with your friends, family or by yourself. It’s certainly nice to be active in another way apart from going to the gym. Have you tried any of these activities before?
